I think that selling these low cost machines is a great boon for many people. On one hand, people who cannot afford highly end machines can still get a fully functional machine that comes with all the tools they probably need already in the box, like email and web browsing and office needs (via Openoffice). Secondly, it allows people to expose themselves to Linux and Open source tools in general which increases exposure to Linux.

I think that Linux is getting more and more to be a viable choice for the home users. I see this move as a fantastic move by Walmart.

Women have many white collared jobs. But black women and all black people have very few and it becomes harder and harder.

Women have to consider if they want equal rights or "MORE" rights.

Deb,

it is clear that you are not Dr. Deborah Frisch, of Eugene, Oregon.

If you like, I'll be happy to post a note on "niggablogga" clarifying that your use of the term "Debonics" in no way infringes on, nor is the same as, that term when applied to the rantings of Dr. Frisch.

You might want to check out the following sites for a perspective on the "doctor" in Oregon that uses your tag.

http://donthiredeb.blogspot.com/
http://debfrischdatabase.blogspot.com/

There are many others, but you will get the idea.

You might also look into my group blog at http://tehsqueakywheel.com where the community that follows the "good doctor" congregates.

Good luck.
